Weddings to Celebrate: Jackie & Mike

Where do I begin? I have attempted to start this post so many times. However, I can never really find the right words to convey what I really want to say about Jackie and Mike. Alas...I have given up. I'll just say this: I love them. I love every moment I spent planning with them (and with Jackie's parents). And I have missed Jackie every single day since her amazing May wedding. I believe Jackie and I are kindred spirits. We "get" each other. And I love when that happens (which isn't often). :-)

When Jackie and her mom approached me about helping with their "destination" wedding, I was 100% on board and excited. The destination: adorable Schulenburg, Texas. Now...while that isn't what one would typically think of when thinking about destination events, it was PERFECT for this couple. The majority of their families / friends where traveling to Texas from other states, and Jackie wanted to show them what "Texas" is really all about. Enter little Schulenburg. Who probably didn't know what hit them when we came to town. LOL

As much fun as I had helping plan this event, I couldn't have done it without all of the incredible vendors we hired. There were 18 different companies / vendors involved in making this day possible, and they all worked together swimmingly. Please scroll to the bottom of the pictures for that A+ list. :-) And as far as the pictures go ... boy was it hard to pick just a handful to show you! Rachel Robinson was INCREDIBLE. Working with her, her assistant and the 31 Films crew that night wasn't work. It was pure fun. :-) Feast your eyes on these!

Chocolate, strawberry, and white milk was served with cake and cake truffles after dinner...

The made-to-order donut station was a huge hit...

One of the four "comfort" food stations set up for dinner...
The venue's outdoor space was transformed into an old fashion "carnival" complete with traditonal carnival food.

I'm pretty sure this was taken while the groom was "singing" with the band on stage. :-)
